Recording available: Introducing CRWJPO's "Land to Lakes Lecture" Saving the Monarch

Follow this link to hear the recorded session: Join the Cannon River Watershed Joint Powers Organization as they host the first session of the 2024-2025 virtual learning series “Land to Lake Lectures.”

Since the 1990s, the Monarch butterfly’s population has declined by more than 80%. During the first webinar “Saving the Monarch: Improving Habitat for the Future,” Barb Bolan from the Wild Ones SE MN Prairie Partners Chapter will share strategies to improve prairie habitat to benefit the Monarch and other pollinators. Funding opportunities available for planting native will also be discussed. This series is offered in collaboration with the University of Minnesota-Extension.

The free webinar will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 12:00 pm over the lunch hour. Register for the webinar at https://z.umn.edu/SavingtheMonarch.

The webinar will be video recorded and posted on the CRWJPO’s website at https://www.cannonriverwatershedmn.gov afterward for those who cannot attend.

The virtual learning sessions “Land to Lake Lectures” will continue throughout the fall and into the spring with a different topic each month over the lunch hour.
