ISG is excited to host the third annual Future of Southern Minnesota Lakes Conference at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato, Minnesota.
The two-day conference will be an engaging opportunity to learn more about area lakes and water quality from local experts. It will kick off on the evening of Friday, March 21, with local project success stories featuring tangible results.
The conference promises to be inspiring and an excellent learning opportunity as experts and peers share their insights. The evening will include brief presentations followed with interactive discussions, giving attendees a chance to ask questions, share experiences, and brainstorm solutions to common lake management challenges in a relaxed, collaborative setting.
The conference will continue on Saturday, March 22 with a focus on empowering lakes residents and stakeholders with practical tools and knowledge for managing their lakes. Topics will cover restoration techniques, case studies, and insights into lake dynamics and monitoring data. Attendees can look forward to a series of case studies from Southern Minnesota and Iowa, a question-and-answer discussion about common lake misconceptions, and sessions about shoreline restorations and the importance of volunteer monitoring data.
“The energy and feedback from our 2023 and 2024 conferences were overwhelmingly positive,” said Julie Blackburn, ISG’s Water Business Unit Leader. “Attendees left with actionable strategies for planning, funding, and implementing lake management projects.”
