The application period will be begin now and close on 3/29/24. Project selection will be prioritized based off the Cannon River Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan priorities.
Ineligible projects include:
Plantings within an existing native planting area.
Plants that are not native to Minnesota.
Projects located outside of the Cannon River Watershed.
Requirements of the project include:
Must be located within the Cannon River Watershed.
Project must be located within the shore land district and within 300 feet of a water’s edge.
A minimum of 5 different species is required to be planted.
Project must be a minimum of 150 square feet.
Once all projects have been selected, Cannon River Joint Powers Organization will notify the applicants on whether they were awarded funds. To learn more about this cost-share program, please visit the Cannon River Watershed Joint Powers Organization website.
