Cedar Lake Grade by DNR is a D+

Did you know?

  • Cedar Lake is an impaired lake and has a Lake Health Grade of D+ as defined by MN DNR. See details at MN DNR Watershed Health Framework for Cedar Lake.

  • This assessment is based on years of water monitoring data collected by lake resident volunteers and uploaded to the MN DNR system for tracking and assessment of the water quality of Cedar Lake.

  • Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) plants include Eurasian Watermilfoil, Curly-leaf Pond Weed

  • Treatment of AIS has been going on for years on Cedar Lake and the treatment area is regulated by MN DNR. After an assessment of the lake and presence of weeds in the lake, the DNR approves a treatment map which is then used to get a permit for treatment by a licensed company.
